Fishy fishy: Port Oriel harbour

One of my favourite spots in our local town of Drogheda is Kirwan’s Fish Cart on Laurence’s Street. The fishmongers are never short of a chat, a few ideas on how to cook fish and are great for throwing a lemon in the bag. The counter looks like a sweetshop with lots of tasty fillets, yummy prawn skewers and marinaded fish laid out.

I headed down to Clogherhead to have a look at their trawlers on the pier yesterday evening. It looked like the boats weren’t long in, as there were a few crates of crabs still sitting by the boats.

  1. Yum, nice colours! Would you believe I’ve only ever been through Drawda on the bus, I must stop off some day!

That’s shocking, Ms K, and you a Dundawk woman! Hop off some day when it’s not raining, look at creepy Oliver Plunkett’s head!

Go on go on go on...
