Pride and joy

I made this quilt for friends who had a baby a few weeks ago. There’s always the fun of trying to make a quilt when you’re unsure of the sex of the baby, so I stuck with green and yellow. I hope baby Paul gets plenty of use out of it!
For anyone that wants the details, the fabric is from Fabrics Galore (front) The Quilt Room (binding) and Tikki London (backing). Batting and fabric are 100% cotton and is a mixture of machine and hand quilted. The label is something I made up – my sister and I said we’d call our sewing café So-Sew if we ever opened one! The animals are a mixture of Cath Kidston and hand-drawn templates.
